Static On the Line: Famous Faxes

By | Posted March 26th, 2013

For centuries, letters written by historical figures have been published and preserved, providing windows into events long past. Ranging from the humorous to the dramatic, letters are an integral part of people’s lives, and the legacies they leave behind. While they may be a bit less romanticized, and definitely not as personalized as handwritten letters, certain faxes have made their mark in both history and pop culture.

Whether it’s renowned physicist Stephen Hawking responding to a scientific question, or the very ugly breakup of a celebrity marriage, a few faxes remain emblazoned in our memories. MetroFax is happy to share some of those faxes with you.
